Vtg 1960 Pair of Handmade Wooden Mice Male Female With Orange Thread Hair Orange Thread Tails Hand Painted Stamped Sweden

These precious little wooden dolls were a gift to me when I lived in New York City in the 1960's.

They are approx. 3 1/2" tall.

Their faces are beautiful, male and female. Wonderful, full brown eyes, tiny red nose, pink rosey checks and big wide smiles. Each is hand painted. The male has a little pointed collar with a green body. The female has a yellow and red daisy painted on her body. Gorgeous orange thread hair adorns each figure. The both have orange thread tails tied in a knot at the end.

Their condition is wonderful as fair as there face and hair goes. The bodice of each one shows a great deal of wear on the green paint.

They are stamped on the bottom with the name of the maker, city of origin and the word Sweden. The other words are very difficult to discern. Please let me know if you are familiar with the lettering.
